Langley & Banack has a very active business and personal bankruptcy practice. Our bankruptcy attorneys have been involved in virtually every type of bankruptcy related case, including litigation which arises in the context of bankruptcy and related proceedings. Langley & Banack is proud of its reputation and expertise in the bankruptcy area and frequently represents creditors, creditor's committees, debtors, shareholders, trustees, landlords, and other interested parties. Our lawyers also have experience handling municipal bankruptcies under Chapters 9 and 16 of the Bankruptcy Code, as well as experience handling issues under Chapter 13.
Our bankruptcy attorneys are active in national, multi-disciplinary groups, including the TurnAround Management Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. One of attorneys is a licensed CPA and another worked for a national accounting firm. Further, one of our attorneys has been a professor of law at two different law schools, where he taught Bankruptcy Law; the same attorney served as Chief Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Texas.

William R. Davis, Jr. has a broad-based bankruptcy practice with an emphasis on the representation of consumer and business Debtors in and outside of bankruptcy. A particular emphasis of Mr. Davis' Debtor bankruptcy practice deals with the treatment of tax obligations owing to the Internal Revenue Service through bankruptcy. Additionally, he deals with workouts and represents creditors such as Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. and Catholic Life Insurance in consumer and business bankruptcy cases throughout the state.
